Welcome to Pre-Law Advising at University of Kansas. The Pre-Law Office is committed to supporting you throughout the process of thinking about, preparing for, and ultimately applying to law school. Whether you are a current KU student or alumna/us planning to attend law school in the future or a prospective student considering pursuing your undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, we are here to help ensure that you have the necessary information to make informed choices.

If you are struggling to decide whether a career in the law is right for you, or if you need guidance in navigating the law school application labyrinth, this site will hopefully prove to be a useful resource. Bear in mind, however, that this web page is not intended to be an all-inclusive "how-to" manual for applying to law school. Rather, it is meant to serve as a starting point for meaningful inquiry, an inquiry that should canvass many sources for insights and perspectives.

If you are new to KU or just beginning to explore your interest in law, you will find the Pre-Law Advising Services and Pre-Law Preparation links on your left helpful in providing introductory information. For additional information, please follow these steps:
  1. Sign up to receive Pre-Law Updates by email by contacting the Pre-Law Advisor.
  2. Attend a Pre-Law Basics Session.
  3. Schedule an individual appointment with the Pre-Law Advisor by calling the front desk of the University Advising Center — (785) 864-0176.
