Advising Information Sessions
  • Pre-Law Basics — Program to students new to KU and those just beginning to explore their interests in law. Information about pre-law preparation and the services and programs offered through the Pre-Law Office will be discussed. As this information session answers most of the basic pre-law questions that students have, it is required that students attend one of these sessions before scheduling an individual meeting with the Pre-Law Advisor. Individual meetings are most effective to then discuss more specific pre-law concerns students may have.
  • Law School Application Process Seminar — This seminar guides students step by step through the law school application process. Detailed information about the following is covered: law school admission factors, steps of the application process, recommended application timeline, LSAT/LSDAS, financial aid/scholarships, personal statements, résumé, and letters of recommendation. It is strongly recommended that pre-law students attend this seminar before scheduling an individual appointment to discuss the application process with the Pre-Law Advisor.
Individual Advising Appointments with the Pre-Law Advisor
After attending the Pre-Law Basics session or Law School Application Seminar (see above), call (785) 864-0176 to schedule an individual appointment with the Pre-Law Advisor if you have more specific questions. Please note that appointments cannot be scheduled by email.
