Welcome to the University of Kansas! Whether you are brand new to the higher education experience or transferring from another institution, I'm happy that you have chosen KU as your new home to further your personal and professional growth.
I am originally from Jefferson City, Missouri and grew up in what I would call "Mizzou Land." I must admit that I am still a Mizzou fan, but I am completely overjoyed to be here and I look forward to becoming a hardcore Jayhawk fan as well. What I love most about KU is the pride that exudes from faculty, staff, and students; the beautiful and serene campus, the unconditional support that the community shows towards the athletic teams; and the strong traditions and history that serves as the backbone and compass for the institution.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Missouri State University in 2005 and a Masters in Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University in 2008. I sincerely hope that each student who comes to KU has as great of an experience as I had when I was an undergraduate student. I was able to get involved and meet tons of my fellow students and interact with many of the staff and faculty members. As a result of my involvement I have many life long friends, many memories, many professional contacts, and experienced some of the best years of my life.
