Hello!! My name is Jennifer Meitl, and I work as an advisor in the University Advising Center. Originally
from Western Kansas (LaCrosse High School, graduating class size: 21 students), I came to KU in 2002 and
earned my B.A. in speech-language-hearing sciences with a minor in leadership studies. Then, I headed out
to the West Coast to study college student services administration at Oregon State University, and earned
my Master's degree in 2008.
All throughout my life, I've learned to truly value the experiences that higher education can bring, both
inside and outside of the classroom. My involvements at KU (camping out for KU BB games, working at the
Writing Center, leading different campus groups) truly made my undergraduate experience one that I will
NEVER forget-so come talk to me about how you can get plugged in to the KU community!!
As a KU alum, on any given Saturday in the fall you can find me cheering on the Jayhawk football
team-ROCK CHALK!! I'm also very involved in my faith community, St. John the Evangelist, here in Lawrence.
