Serving as a peer advisor over the summer really helped me develop and grow as a person. It was a great experience and I could not have asked for better people to work with in all areas from the PA and OA Staff to the Advising Staff. What is the role of the Peer Advisor?
Peer Advisors serve as members of the University Advising Center staff and assist new students with their academic transition to KU. Peer Advisors participate in the academic advising component of all summer orientation sessions for freshman, transfer and readmitted students; assist faculty, staff, students, parents and guests with the advising process; and act as a resource for incoming students.
