Freshman Summer Institute 2008
"FSI was an extremely valuable experience for
me. I learned a lot and had fun in the process. I
also met some wonderful people and developed
friendships at KU that I might not have otherwise"

Orientation for Students & Parents
A special orientation for Freshman Summer Institute students and their families begins before the first day of classes. This program is designed to introduce students and their families to the university and to FSI.
Freshman Summer Institute students participate in a summer orientation program provided by the Office of New Student Orientation during the four-week session. This allows students to learn more about academic units and enroll for fall semester classes. If you participate in FSI, do not register separately for an orientation program.
Housing
All participants will be required to live in university housing. The housing fee includes all meals during FSI and a double- or quad-occupancy room. All housing arrangements will be made for participants.
Transportation
All participants in FSI will receive a four-week bus pass for travel from the residence hall to classrooms and around campus. FSI students may bring a car to campus but must park in residence hall lots only (no parking pass is needed).
You must read the whole brochure to apply online. (3 of 6)
