Welcome to the University Advising Center and KU! My name is Amelia McConnell and I am a graduate assistant advisor here at the UAC. I am here to work with you in areas such choosing a major or minor, co-curricular activity opportunities, creating an amazing schedule or helping you with the adjustment to college and life as a Jayhawk. Prior to life in Lawrence, I spent my years in the great state of Vermont. It was there I attended Castleton State College, earning my degree in Sports Medicine and Sports Administration and played rugby. When I wasn't in college, I was enjoying the beautiful mountains and lakes that Vermont has to offer. Although Kansas has less topographical diversity, I have discovered my love for the environment here in Lawrence. I am currently pursuing a master's degree from KU in Higher Education Administration, with intentions of graduating this upcoming May.
In my spare time you can find me at the student rec. center, enjoying Mass Street, laughing, reading, watching baseball or any Jayhawk athletic event.
