Hello and welcome to the University of Kansas! I am Heidie Grove, an academic adviser in the University Advising Center. I am here to answer any question related to your experience at KU. We can discuss majors, minors, extra-curricular activities, and whatever else you may need to assist you in a successful and positive academic career. I am orginally from Council Bluffs, Iowa and spent my college years at Iowa State Unviersity, GO CYCLONES!!! I completed my bachelor's degrees in Communication Studies and Apparel Merchandising, Design and Production and earned a master's degree in Education. Studying abroad in Swansea, Wales was one of my biggest accomplishments in undergrad. It really is a life changing experience. If you want to discuss study abroad opportunities, you have found the right person! After graduation, I headed to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I was a First Year Adviser for two years. I served as a academic adviser and hall director for students from all over the world by overseeing the International Living Learning Community. Outside of work, you will find me at the recreation center, on the tennis court, at an athletic event (in Cyclone gear), or hanging out with friends and family.
